Personal interests

Dr. Evans enjoys being outside as much as possible and particularly loves volleyball, backpacking, and biking. Recent home-ownership has also introduced her to the world of (endless) house renovation projects.

Biography

Dr. Abby Evans is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care. Dr. Evans was born and raised in Northern Virginia and attended McLean High School prior to moving west to complete her undergraduate degree in Food Science at Brigham Young University. She came back to the DC area for both medical school at Georgetown University and residency at INOVA Fairfax Family Practice where she was selected as a chief resident. As a physician, she enjoys getting to know and hear stories from the incredibly interesting people who live in this area.

Dr. Evans is trained to diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions as well as provide preventative health maintenance in line with the most recent screening guidelines. She believes in a wide scope of management by primary care providers and feels privileged to form relationships with patients over years of working together to improve or maintain their health.
