When Dr. Clum is not in the office, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and theater.


Faren K. Clum is an Internal Medicine physician who grew up in Northern California and studied Human Biology at Stanford University as an undergraduate. She went on to pursue her medical training at University of California, San Francisco, where she completed an Internal Medicine residency in June 2018. She trained specifically in Primary Care and is dedicated to partnering with people in working towards their individual health goals over time. She has particular experience managing high blood pressure, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes and diabetes, COPD, heart disease and liver disease, including cirrhosis. She also has training in prescribing some medications that are not always available from Internal Medicine physicians. These include pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP), hormone therapy for transgender and non-binary people, and steroid knee injections for osteoarthritis or gout. She speaks Spanish at a conversational level and will use a phone interpreter when necessary to ensure the best possible care.
